For Q4, AIRT reports $0.17 vs. $0.16 EPS in the prior year. I believe that this is OK, but not exceptional.
It's good the see a large increase in backlog vs. one year ago. This higher backlog helps to explain the big increase in inventories at Global. Just hope the backlog is not loaded up with those low-margin ramp tugs for the U. S. Air Force.
Company PR yesterday afternoon (June 3) reports that the Global backlog at May 31 has grown further (to $21.7 mil) from the previous figure (of $14.4 mil) at March 31. And the good news (and in answer to my concern above) the backlog growth is mainly due to commercial orders for deicing equipment, and not to a big increased in those low-margin ramp tugs for the Air Force.
I cannot remember ever getting a PR from the Company announcing backlogs other than quarterly in the 10-Q or quarterly earnings announcement. I like the new policy, if this is the new policy!!
