I'm considering investing in SBR with a time horizon of 5-7yrs. As i do my DD, I like to get a feel for a company/investment from the message board. Any constructive ideas or info would be greatly appreciated. Please, no shorts. Thanks in advance. Jim
Over the past 5 years SBR is one of my best earners and I am bleeding off some of its profits now to diversify to other areas. Since 2001 my rollover IRA has tripled in value based on a core of holdings in Canadian and US royalties, overseas oil/gas transport and energy based funds all paying over 6% dividends. I so not see the price of oil coming down and staying there long term. I believe with an investing horizon like yours (5+ years) you can't go wrong with high dividend energy related issues.
Hi Jim, you have started a good thread here, which I hope will bring more serious discussion, especiously regarding mcdep. I am currently out of SBR because I think it is a little high right now. But, it is my all time favorite trust and I have owned it and traded it for many years. I am not a very good typist, so if you want more of my thoughts you may go to the SBR board on investorvillage. joz
