d fundamentals such as PIR can certainly make a run. I agree with your post. Bought 4000 at 7.75 and I'm not selling yet. PE's have become meaningful again, just ask the folks with internet stocks. Good luck to us.
I've had PIR for a very long time, bought in at double digits & have lost money from day one. This is the only none tech. fund that I own & I've held on because of this co. fundamentals. Based on research & info. I've read I don't think PIR is looking to buy more up scale partners. Logically in todays bargin based econ. they would buy a store which offers less expensive merch. Any comments ? I also like the work Comdisco has implemented @ PIR with Cisco equipment and switches; seems to me based on my tech. knowledge PIR has other plans for all this high tech. equipment & its assoc. with Comdisco &Cisco. Is there someone out there that may know of a future Web sales site for PIR ? Could it be in the works ? All in all the Co. seems to be reconsolidating & attempting to cut cost. I like what they've done in the Puerto Rico set up; why have they not followed up with that concept here on the main land ?? Please post any ans., thanks anyone.
I, too, have held this for a long time, and was gullible enough to average down as it went down. Something must be going on because it keeps going up in a down market. I hope the bubble doesn't burst and make me wish I had sold my only slightly profitable last two buys. Any info, speculation, what's going on?
