    Macy's = poor service or no sevice

    In this area of metro Washington DC I have not shopped Macy's very frequently at all.

    Reason: It is impossible to find sales help! I have often tried to buy a cologne or a shirt and tie and it was impossible to find an available person to ring it up. I am speaking of a weekday morning when there is often one sales person in the men's department.

    On the main aisle by cosmetics and accessories, those "fashion squares" often are totally unstaffed. So are some side departments such as women's sportwear. I often had picked up a store phone and dialed the operator asking for sales assistance. "Have you looked for a salesperson in the next department? the telephone person asked.

    I have no intention of searching for a salesperson, I expect each department to be staffed! And if that is not possible then centralize a cashier station in the manner of Kohl's so I can check out.

    This is no longer a problemm, as I find far better assortments of merchandise in the Premium OUTLETS of Leesburg Virginia and at generally better prices. Plus those stores are FAR NEATER and staffed at the registers.
