Insider Trading: Fred Stewart - Disposition by gift - 14500 Shares
Now at this time of year this suggests donation to charity, under Canadian tax laws, donations of shares to charities is extremely beneficial for the donor and the recipient. The donor gets a tax deductions for the values on day of donation and ZERO capital gains and the charity get a bigger donation than it would otherwise get. Donation of flow-thru shares under this regime is extremely tax beneficial....
Fred Stewart -14,500 shares. In Oct. About a week after the revised trial was announced Geo Gill -87,000 shares. Why? Could be any number of reasons. But one inference is that neither insider thought their shares would be worth $7-$8 any time soon. It's not unreasonable to assume that as a tax deduction or charitable gift or whatever had they believed those shares would have 4x as much effect in a few months they would have waited.
You don't believe in simple generosity, do ya? You talk about providing for generations of nephews and nieces with profits from ONCY, maybe these two guys want to make ever growing gifts to charities...Naaah, you can't make an allowance of that kind to others . Not D2! Your heart is the size of a black cherry. Too much happiness will make it go..the size of a sour cherry. That's...one inference....:((
Have you ever thought about the possibility that the reason Stewart gifted his shares down at this price is because he wants the beneficiary of the gifted shares to benefit from the price appreciation of the gifted shares? No you hadn't nor do you want to given your repeated Dr Doom posts on this message board.
