    CDN longs

there've been quite a few "CDN is going to hit...
$x" ($20, $30, you get the point) posts lately. I'd
like to know what you're basing this decision on.
Wishful thinking? I'm in and long, but sure would like to
read some justification for your predictions. I have
NO idea where this stock is headed short-term, so
I'd like to hear from those of you who have reasons
for your opinions. I think CDN will continue to rise,
just becuase it was so beaten down and is worth more
than $12 a share, but this company has LOTS of
problems, and I'm wondering why you think $20 or $30
    short-term is doable. Thanks.

      I was talking about
      future products. You didn't understand.

I have answered to a specific
      question from EdaVeteran.

      > This stuff is not
technology to Cadence (or Synopsys, Avant!, > etc), it's
the nuts and bolts of basic software

      Yes. Sw reuse.

That was not my intent. In fact, like
I said the markets will decide whether or not the
new products are good or not.
      I don't need to use
      buzz words to impress.
If you had the power to
drive the stock up by saying buzz words I would be a
      millionare right now.

      See you at DAC.

    • Gee, lets call Cadence right now and see how many
products they have shipping based on Java, or for that
matter, MFC. As a stockholder I can, can you
      K_h_a_r_m_a?

*I* laugh at the mis/dis information spewed forth on
these boards by people such as you - most of us come
here to balance our personal research... Do you think
Synopsys, Avant!, etc, could care less about what UI tools,
      or foundation libraries Cadence uses???

      This
stuff is not technology to Cadence (or Synopsys,
Avant!, etc), it's the nuts and bolts of basic software
engineering for Cadence. (Although Java is great
technology!!!, I can't comment on MFC)

      Drop all the buzz
words Mr. K_h_a_r_m_a, Java, Microsoft, that will drive
the stock up! Sorry in advance if I stepped on your
      sneakers, :-)

Well...I guess it depends upon which
platform is used to develop the tool...Of course you can
use Java...Or the Microsoft foundation class
      hierarchy.....
I don't want to say more...

      As for the
competitive information..I was just disturbed by the fact
that people can make some technical comments which do
      not make any sense.

      Ciao!

      Ding! Thank you for
      playing.

SPW is a different product. Each of these four
products is distinct and none share any technology.

    • last week. This move is built up from the drop as
people realize CDN is trading at a bargain price. From
the volume and charts it's heading to 17 support
level. Trade in this range for few weeks until more
business direction from the company is announced. Could
head toward the 20 level if business outlook looking
better. Good luck. I also indicate a move up on RDRT
during the weekend as I post on RDRT board.

    • again? they are probrably betting that once the good news subside, cdn will go down. Could be true.

    • Thanks for the compliment. I really don't know
enough about this whole co-design area to comment yet.
Maybe after DAC I'll have a better clue.

      I am
not worried too much about competitive information
being passed along in these boards - anyone that really
needed this kind of info could get it with a little
digging. These boards are just for convenience.

      BTW
      - I thought TCL is popularly used in many EDA
tools, and in fact its acceptance is growing. Is there a
new scripting language out there yet? Java?
