Don't just look at the activations numbers for one device from one carrier. The smart phone sector is growing exponentially. and 2.2 mil is a drop in a bucket (especially if the carrier is pushing 100 mil customers).
Also, I wonder how many of these 2.2 mil activations were existing iPhone users from ATT and others who already had their minds set on Apple. IMO, most of these activations did not come from potential or prior Android users and had probably minimal impact on MMI sales. But that's my opinion (just like everything else).
