I wouldn't read too much into Cummins exercising his options for a $900K gain. If you remember, OSIP's CEO also sold significant amount of shares a week before the good news that saw the stock jump $60 in one day. There could be various reasons why Cummins exericised his options.
Initially I was leaning more towards FDA not approving the VNS therapy however I am now second guessing myself. My take is that if this therapy is approved in Canada and Europe then it must be helping some patients overcome their depression thus an effective and safe treatment also the Advisory Panel had recommended approving this therapy so why is FDA being so stubborn and not approve this effective therapy.
I think this time around the FDA may grant a conditional approval for the VNS therapy and this will all because of Cummins' persistance.
