Not from nBG, but over the last 2 years, going long has been very fruitful for me...Bank of america, deutsche bank...Commerzbank also doing OK since the new shares offer but I am yet to book profit...waiting for it to double from current value :-). The only stock that burned me was apple, because I bought when everyone was bullish and analysts were upping targets like theres no tomorrow....
NBG will not buy me a porsche ( neither do I want one) but will enable to me holiday in the most exotic places...just you wait ( between one and two years....and thats the timescale I consider to be long)
Good luck to you and others on the opposite side !
I agree, turnaround stocks are great, just had fun with Nokia. This one could be an easy double or more in two years, and looking at the income statement, it looks like the profits are coming back, with little risk of downside now that Europe has entered into recovery. Looks like USA in 2009-10.
