Would HAIN consider a 2 or 3 for 1 split when this thing hits $80+ ?

      2 for 1

    • Sometimes one can guage the probability of a split based on the history of such events. Since HAIN has never split its shares, one can only wildly guess. That said, I don't get emotionally charged re splits. What does a stock split signal?
      A. The shares HAVE appreciated (presumably significantly)
      B. Management is optimistic re the future
Splits do not affect a company's fundamentals. IMO, over the long haul, a company's fundamentals drive the share price. Bottom line, I only care about a holding's value, not the number of shares I own. Likewise, when I invest, I don't start with the number of shares I want to buy, rather I decide how much MONEY I want to invest and I divide that number by the share price to determine how many shares I will buy.
      Or in other words:
      100 X 75 = 7500
      200 X 37.50 = 7500

Oh yeah, some will suggest that a split may cause a pop in a company's shares. Yes, that does sometimes occur, but unless someone was planning to sell at that time, big whoop! And as far as "splits make shares more affordable", well that is just a stupid "concept", given unlike the old days where buying round lots was the norm, nowadays people buy 5 shares of AAPL or 25 shares of HAIN!!!
