DID YOU KNOW THAT "YELP" REVIEWS ARE FIXED BY YELP TO BE "5-STAR" SKEWED?
It's true. After using several random computers with different ip addresses, my family and friends left a few dozen reviews, both positive and negative for places we've eaten, shopped and hired for contract work on our homes. guess what? yelp took down all the negative, lower than 5-star, reviews within a couple months. some were screened out in 24 hours of leaving them and trashed by yelp. so, next time you leave a review for a merchant on yelp, go back and check it in the following months of leaving it, chances are high that if it's lower than 5-stars, it's gone. yelp doesn't want any negative publicity on it's site for any merchant paying them for advertising. question: so what's open and free about that? Isn't that just more fixed market place manipulation all over again? i thought that america was freeing itself from this kind of behavior? same happens right here on yahoospages, when you leave a negative comment about yahoo, watch for it to just vanish into thin air within a couple months if not a couple hours. try leaving a negative 5 star review on yelp today and watch how it just mysteriously vanishes too. Pretty useless and pathetic service if you ask me!!! right?
