Not so much a sucker rally as it was a systems rally. Does no one see that the turn around happened at exactly the 10% mark. Pre-programmed buy indications is the only explaination. Ask those "quant" funds how that's been working out for them.
its not a sucker rally, it was oversold all morning. think about it, people have no idea what affect the housing market/credit issues will have, so they overreact and over sell. this leads to a lower market, followed by a buy-up. you have no idea what effect the credit issues will have going forward, so dont use the term sucker rally.
