    Matrix Man

Jerome Bettis is out this Sunday with a pulled groin for the Jets game. Hopefully the Steelers will still kick ass. Oh you meant about dpac? How much of DPAC's revenue comes from small electronic devices?? None.
Matrix is focused on a niche market, which seems to be directed by the OEMs
who have backed them. Check out their website. They are primarily focused
on flash. Who does flash? My heart bleeds for them, The ever litigious 3 stooges from STEC. This was a great week. If I knew all I had to do a couple of weeks ago was post and ask for a couple of news releases I would have done it sooner. Just kidding Ted.

    • Your points are well made and I agree it's a non-event for DPAC at this time.

However, (you knew there was going to be a "however" didn't you?) EE Flash (re-programmable memory) is just one-step away from the current Matrix product and at one-tenth the cost it wouldn't take much to become immensely popular in many products using SDRAM.

Of course there is always the performance issue of the time it takes to re-program the flash and that's not likely to ever exceed a Static Write time. But when the price gets cheap enough, customers often switch their focus from performance to cost. That's something I'm sure you're more aware of than I.

I won't sweat about this until you do, but that doesn't mean I won't keep watching the technological developments.

      Long and Sweatless,

PS. Havent you been 43 for a little too long now? At least three months too long. Time to get older with the rest of us. {8(>

    • Stan, Thanks for the info. It is nice to see you back on the board. I think the fact that you said just a few positive news releases from the company would do wonders has proven correct. Nothing earth shattering, just an insight they are continuing to grow. I think the workforce expanding is their equivalent to forward guidance for now. The 10 recomendations on that November 11th post should let you know that there are some of us this board who look to your posts for a "birds eye" view of this company. Your smile must be ear to ear this weekend. Enjoy your lunch courtesy of the bussdriver next week. If he bought 15,000 shars of the pac on your recomendation at $2 a share have two appetizers as well as desert. Ann
