On a recent busy travel weekend, I first hand witnessed a girl denied a flight to San Juan upon arriving 90 minutes prior to her flight. She had bought the ticket, but had not checked in or knew of Spirit's seat policy ahead of time. The flight was over sold by ten passengers (the usual). Even though she needed to get to San Juan for her father's funeral the next day, they could not get her on another flight in time. She was crying desperately ( a common occurrrance at a Spirit counter). They offered her two free round trip tickets as consolation. I thought to myself, good luck in redeeming those worthless tickets, Toilet paper has more value. More on the worthless miles and travel vouchers next time. There is a limit to jewing out people. It may make you more money, but, a day comes when there are no more shmucks to screw!!!
