Hank makes sense when he states that the failure of AIG will have repurcussions around the globe. This company has the assets to make it, if only the regulators would get off of their neck. Granted, no one is feeling sorry for Hank or AIG, but there are many hard working people who depend upon this company for their livelihood. This company has opened the doors for many American companies to do business in other countries. It is not rocket science to figure out that if AIG goes down, the dominoes won't stop falling for a long time. Can the US economy sustain any more? Yes, lack of controls and greed have gotten AIG to where they are,but let COMMON SENSE prevail as survival of this company would be best for the American economy. The collateral damages to the markets will be devastating if they go bust.
