they need to keep the very people who nearly destroyed the company and to do so, need to provide retention bonuses to those same people.
How am I not looking at this correctly, they want to provide a bonus to the people who's decisions would've led this company into bankrupcy if not for the taxpayers!
They must think the common people are all dopes, that every common hard working American is really nothing but a dope and that those dopes don't know or understand the meaning of "retention Bonus". They assume that the dopes believe "Retention Bonus" is just another big word, sort of like "fuzzy math"!
Give us all a break AIG, ya'll are lucky that ya'll even have a job. I say, put them in the food line, let them experience what others are having to experience becuse of their poor decisions which were no doubt driven by "Greed"......
Jazzblue, that is a great question and it makes you wonder how can people on a message board through text only, can make more sense than the people who erred and the others who aren't asking the right questions. These people are face to face, can't get a straight answer out of them but then again, the people who ask the questions aren't asking the right questions at times!
Why don't someone get throught to one of these media outlets and see if they can get this question to the AIG execs! How would you have paid thoses bonuses without the bailout money, what would you have done? What would you have told those special people who you need to retain to run an insurance business?
This just makes me angrier by the minute when such simplistic questions are thought here on a message board while the so called experts can't nail down the perpetrators, arghargh....
Lets all take $100 off our tax's owed to the government in protest... The 10 billion dollars will get the governments attention, and lets see them come after everyone in the country instead of the crooks on Big Ball Street stealing from us!!!
