Too bad this author doesn't know anything about import/export biz. But the difference between the recovery in 2003 and now is: SHIPS were lined up outside the ports in 2003....
By not laying off the employees now, you are doing alot of damage to the employees ability to find work somewhere else while the labor market is still seeking employees in some areas. By the time this company (starts) to lay off workers: A) employees will be less likely to find work B) their stock price will not provide them a safety net for cash while riding out unemployement. Since I have no position in this stock, I'd like to share this with you this: Linear regression says this thing (EXPD) goes to 12.
Good luck with your job searches. I would like to leave you with this one employment suggestion: You could always join the Obama secret military forces.
ooops. found it. sorry. yes, good read. i had noticed recently that pete had said they had laid off no employees and thought that that might bode well for efficiency as things start to pick up. he played for the long haul instead of trying to help the bottom line for a quarter or two. good job.
