So it seems one of the most technologically advanced nations see's fit to open 7 new clean coal plants in 2013 and the Netherlands is opening up 3 new clean coal plants.
Obviously they see a future. Clean coal technology is already being used and 2 new clean coal plants in the usa are opening this year
Europe is facing the facts. In 20 years the world will be using 50% more power than today. Where is that power going to come from?
NG is expensive everywhere except the USA and soon will be expensive in the USA. Plus NG is minimally fungible.
Solar and Wind are not serious players. They are toys.
Hydroelectric has been maxed out for the past half century
Unless we develop cold fusion I expect that the world will be far more dependent on coal 20 years frow than it is today.
"I expect that the world will be far more dependent on coal 20 years frow than it is today. Less"
US is not only country that has NG or can Frack NG.
Solar will continue to improve cost and efficiency.
Solar's share of market will be higher 20 years from now will be higher than it is today.
Like I said Germans pay twice what we do for NG. They have not experienced the steep drop in NG prices. Makes sense that countries other than the US are more likely to pursue clean coal.
Do you know what the costs are for building and maintaining the clean coal plant versus existing coal plants?
Germany is using clean coal technology and they had the option of ng or coal and they chose coal as are many European country's and of course the fastest growing Asian economy's-the coal company's are a good buy now just like housing was 2 years ago and casinos 4 years ago-you always seem to be short at or close to the bottom........
Well is this like the war on big tobacco? because since that started the tobacco stocks have long since been 10 baggers and much more.
Sure you remember, it was a great time to buy the tobacco stocks..................Most of the world uses coal and in fact are increasing usage..........
