    BX stock swoon: possible explanation

It's almost like clockwork, the dates are so EXACT...

Pull up a three month or six month chart. Check out the beginning of the current collapse of the share price: March 30.

Does that date sound familiar, BX longs? It should. It was the date of the big dividend payout. Since that day? Straight down. Ski slope. Falling knife.

Coincidence? I doubt it. Manipulated all the way down.

When it suits them, will they manipulate it back up?

    • I don't think that is the issue. It would have been on ex-date anyway and not the pay date.

Have been in and out of BX, SLRC, KFN, and APO. Sold my KFN last Friday for a nice profit, but noticed it took a big dive on Monday. (Just raising cash - no brilliant insights on my part.) All of the above also took hits. Besides being involved in fairly illiquid private markets, BX and APO have substantial realty groups, and I wonder if the fear is that they have some bad hedging trades on ala JP Morgan. APO knocked it out of the park and has a .25 divvy going ex on 5/17 and the stock is not moving. Even COF that does little hedging is getting hit.

Haven't read anything anywhere to indicate this, but the sweeping downdraft on financials makes me think it is a reaction to JPM. No one knows who is doing what from a hedging perspective. Doubt and no knowledge prompts sell orders.

I am underwater in BX and APO so I feel your pain. At this point I am looking for other places for this money.
