Dude ... How many time do I have to explain what "Overweight" means to you guys????
I'll give it one more shot ... when an analysts says the stock is rated as "overweight" ... It means exactly that. It means the "stock is overweight" which means it is heavy and heavy things (If you are a Civil Engineer) eventually buckle under their own weight.
There you have it ... now you know what it means to refer to a stock as an overweight.
I think the picture is mixed, not just upgrades and positive news, and BX is a bit controversial - although I am long: - yes, there are some upgrades - but also many downgrades too. On Fidelity website, average is "very bearish"(average of more than 10 latest reviews) - last years and months, private equity firrms underperformed greatly. Recently CARLYLE group ,made a discount IPO - and their shares are now below discounted IPO price.
Nevertheless, recent development gives hope for prices up to $15 or around. Not everybody shares this view, and also BX is subject to speculations.
