ODP Karen Finerman thinks it is an aquisition target....here is why
ODP Interesting dynamics are coming together that Finerman wants you to know about.
”ODP has a relatively low valuation and strong balance sheet," she explains, "with strong balance sheet indicative of a company that's doing well. Private equity typically likes companies that are doing well.”
But beyond that she says there's another powerful catalyst at play.
“Private equity has to put money to work. If they don’t use the money they lose the commitment. And they don't want to lose the money.”
And beyond that....
Office Depot just implemented new change-in-control agreements for three key executives.
dog & pony show for sure....where were these guys when ODP was trading in the .59 to .65 cent range and ran to $9.00 plu... you didn't hear a word out of them. They also missed the run from $3.50 to the present price when the macd, cci, stochastic were all signaling a buy...And now Karen steps up and points out the obvious...sorry,I have no need for anyone on CNBC
