More on the old ROCA phosphate project onshore BAJA suggested by STEVE
Looking at the sat images and ground photos here are some added info for all OMEX longs to know.
First locate the Baja coastal town of ADALFO LOPEZ MATEOS (on the bay our DD has been surveying.) The man-made "canal" Steve and others have mentioned lies 7km north of tis town. There is extensive evidence of ABANDONED mining efforts onshore, along the north bank of the canal, and what appears to be a large offshore white colored dumipng/storage area 1km south of the canal mouth. There is an old washed-out road from shore to dump. There are a number of buildings, and foundations of buildings, 1/2km south of the canal mouth, and a huge (identified) UNFINISHED RECTANGULAR PHOSPHATE PROCESSING PLANT just offshore from the buildings. Photo titled "ROCA FOSFORICA MEXICANA 1984" was included.
This major project had to have a multi-million dollar investment before it was abandonded in the 1980s.
Questions arise for OMEX investors, as to WHY was this project abandoned? Is this related in any way to our OCEANICA phosphate interests? Taking over this old project? Better economics now? QUESTIONS QUESTIONS........
