It is not the goal of institutions to have 250,000 shares by tomorrow paying from 4.00 to 8.00. but to own 2,000,000 shares by this time next year paying from 4.00 to 6.00. Then they will initiate coverage after they have all the shares they want and let the retail buyers push the price from 6.00 to 60.00. The institutions will buy 2,000 to 5,000 shares a day in 200 to 500 lot buys so as not to push the price. at 5,000 shares a day thats 25,000 a week or 100,000 a month. You do the math. when the price spikes they may pick up a 100,000 shares at the close then sell 20,000 at the open to break it back down.JMHO
Good point. IHMO, we all know that the stock market is controlled by the big boys.....us little retailers are really at there mercy. The key is picking the right stock. Is my patience then, yes. However, I have gone this far with AVN and gut feeling tells me to hang in there until next March. Again, good post. Enuff said.
