Nice earnings report - earnings beat and raise, some research firm came out with a $20 target. I kind of think that my strategy is to hold the stock till around the end of the year and see what happens. It's probably going to continue to rise, but if it gets over say, $18 with no buyout, I might just sell. It surprises me that a buyout has not occurred already.
Personally, I don't think that a total sale of the company's parts was ever intended. But who knows what the future holds.
I do still have a problem with this company...they never have listened to other companies in the past; that's why they lost so much ground to Amdocs. It appears that they don't listen at customer service either. Case in point from recent contact with Nintendo America headquarters. Nintendo America was looking for a single company to run their out-sourced call centers. Convergys told them what they were doing wrong and tried to tell them what they needed instead of listening to what they wanted. Guess what...Nintendo decided to split the contract between 2 smaller firms. Nintendo won't have anything more to do with Convergys. Convergys lost a good contract and any future contracts with Nintendo because they simply can't listen.
$20? I hope so; I'd like to sell my remaining shares at a decent price.
Nice little move today and we are closing over 15 again. Earnings on the 30th, and I wonder what they could possibly have to say. Just got another dividend, but I am not in it for that. Hopefully, now that all the deals are done and CVG has almost a billion in cash, they can let us know what they are going to do with all of that money. Expectations are still low I think, so who knows, maybe they will post a solid beat and the shares will pop up another point or so. I am looking for either a pop on the rumor of a buyout or an actual buyout so that I can exit. Either that, or I will hold it till the end of the year and see where it is.
Yep. I think earnings are actually 31 JUL, after the close. Believe it or not, a lot of the investment community doesn't know about all that cash, yet, me thinks. They will after this report. I expect earnings to be just fine. Decent earnings, a ton of net cash, a dividend--what's not to like? CVG is worth between 18ish - 22ish--that's my mantra.
