The insurance company providing the D&O coverage would pay out the defense and liability costs, not Ran nor the Company, although if I were a D&O carrier I would be canceling coverage for such a poorly governed and managed company.
I see just about no chance at a double in the next few years.
I would happily accept $1.30 from anyone except Ran. And only if he didnt get the free million shares.
Thats because I would bet I could buy back at less than 90 cents in the next few years.
At this point, I would accept $1.60 from Ran just to get away from his corruption.
But, he would be foolish to offer that. He has it made for the next 30 years.
Nothing to stop him from giving himself large raises and another million shares every few years.
I think Capstone realizes they are stuck and are just trying to shake the tree in the hope that someone else comes out of the woodwork and makes an offer or that clueless daytrader types jump on the stock and provide them an "out".
Neither are likely.
Their/our best chance might be some kind of lawsuit for the obvious breach of fiduciary duty. But that could backfire with Ran spending hundreds of thousands of company money defending himself.
I was! My attitude towards Ran has been damaged some along with everyone else's here but I still see the stock as way too cheap. Capstone wants to turn it into a REIT. May happen eventually but probably not til profitability improves. In the meantime little downside risk with easy double potential and possibly more at some point depending on co. obtaining additional capital to lend.
Nice of them to shine the light of day on the criminal actions of Ran & his puppet board of yes-men.
But they are not going to do whats best for outside shareholders. Never have & never will.
The company exists to make Ran money. To heck with the rest of the shareholders.
