"mini sell off" ???? The highest volume since the IPO is a mini sell off?
Look, it wasn't about "people anticipating better guidance". This was an orchestrated exit by big fish. On the way up and during the distribution of the past couple weeks, the big fish were buying and selling, but mostly selling; buying just enough to support the price. By the time earnings came out they were done and just quit supporting the price; see ya don't wanna be ya.
Yes, and they're winning; or more correctly, they've won. On aggregate I'd say the shorts are in the money whereas the longs in aggregate are underwater. They can slowly unwind their position as the price goes lower and lower. The best thing that could happen for longs is not anything the company can do but it would be for liquidity to come back into the general market.
