    short interest

how long are shorts going to stick with their positions with 60% + shares held short? this is insane. they have like 10 days to cover. how can this not be squeezed? how long will they stay with a short position that won't go anywhere until there is negative news? the numbers were fine. what gives?

    • I think that the maximum damage has already been done by the shorts. I don't see them shorting at this price. SI has dropped in the last month, unfortunately doing nothing for the share price. I see no reason to be short this stock at this price. It's not overvalued, losing money or losing market share. It's growing and increasing EPS year over year with a projected 15%-20% increase for 2013 (per the call). So I estimate a conservative $1.20 a share earnings for 2013. So at a 15 forward PE that puts the stock price at $18. I really can't believe it goes lower from here on any sort of logic unless management is giving bad guidance. But I also don't see any sort of short squeeze happening.

    • Days to cover is 40... which is insane. I purchased this stock for the first time at close because of this. This stock has been beaten up pretty badly and any hint of good news could squeeze this stock quickly higher. Even with a mediocre earnings report, I think that it might be good enough to cause shorts to cover. We'll see...
