    Digital River World Payments to Provide European Payments Services for Skullcandy

    Looks like Skul is going to be collecting some cash in Europe.

    Digital River, Inc. , the revenue growth experts in global cloud commerce, announced that it signed a global payments agreement with Skullcandy, Inc. a high-growth performance lifestyle audio brand. Skullcandy is using the Digital River World Payments solution to build a localized European e-payments program. Based on the agreement, Digital River (DRIV) will provide locally-preferred payment options for Skullcandy’s online stores in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK.

    “We considered many factors in our search for a global payments provider. For us, it came down to the importance and ease of working with a single provider,” said Brett Barlow, vice president of interactive at Skullcandy "As we expand our online stores into more European countries, we are relying on our Digital River World Payments solution to deliver a localized, easy-to-use payment experience for our customers.”

    “We are excited to work with a vibrant brand like Skullcandy,” said Souheil Badran, senior vice president and general manager of Digital River World Payments. “Localizing the online payments experience is one of the most important steps businesses can take to build trust across their global base of customers. When well executed, a comprehensive payments program can turn site visitors into loyal customers and a cost center into a revenue stream.”

    In a recent survey commissioned by Digital River (DRIV), a group of international senior decision makers from several high-tech markets identified some of their most significant global e-business challenges.

    • RJ... They have really spent a lot of effort on European (and other Worldwide) events this past 6 months or so. Theo's skateboarding tour and invested in a lot of music events for example. Makes sense to focus on web purchases abroad until their brick and mortar distribution catches up.

      I would say that this is very positive in that it proves they are working on there international GROWTH here.
