IMO, I would venture to say that the trade will not be finalized until the parties concerned have purchased all of the outstanding share that they possibly can. Since most of agree that the Newco stock will have a fairly rapid assent it is only logical to buy the outstanding share now so that you will have a smaller liability when the share are districuted and start to climb....not only that, they will have stock in the corporate account that they can sell at higher prices and reduce the overall cost of buying Knight.
Supposedly this is scheduled for the end of June ???
