Home Depot has EIGHTY SIX year old man arrested for assault in Denver.

An eighty six year old man with NO PRIOR record was arrested at the Stapleton Home Depot for supposedly assaulting a security guard with his cane.

John Copeland, who uses a walker and has only 20% of his hearing, was placed in a Denver jail and is described to be intense pain because he has no access to his pain medication.

His son Larry says he will be surprised if his father survives the ordeal.

    • This had nothing to do with the Home Depot except for it occurring in their parking lot.

It wasn't a security guard at all. It was a volunteer with Denver's Disability Parking Enforcement Program.

      Why would you post this?

      • When the EIGHTY SIX YEAR OLD MAN was arrested, Home Depot did nothing to help with the situation.

Home Depot was leeching off the situation because they had unpaid stiffs writing tickets and when something went wrong, they turned a blind eye, just like they do with all the illegals installing flooring.

Now, about all those illegal Mexicans installing flooring, what is your take on that? I gave you the address (about 20 times,) where the illegals work.

So Phil, what would you have done? If the man assaulted someone with a cane do we know why? Was the person injured? Did we know he had no prior record?
By law he has to be evaluated and if medication is necessary, the jail must provide it.
Why do you feel it necessary to condemn HD when you don't know the facts--oh yeah, I remember, they caused you to lose money in your carpet stealing---oops I mean installing business.
