    HD firing on all cylinders, ramping up for the Spring Selling Season!

    Everyone at HD working hard to keep costs down and stores ready for customers.
    Hiring more people for the Spring Selling Season.

    • Hiring people with no experience and having the better employees quit.
      Cutting part time to 29 hrs because they are to greedy to pay health benefits.
      #$%$ off customers who are more and more impatient when they can't find employees on the floor to help them,like plumbing.
      It will all come back to kick them in the #$%$.

        I work between 20-36 a week part time and can have health insurance if I want it.
        I don't need it.

        part time workers can pay a bit more for their coverage compared to full timers.

        Hey spon, If you're having a problem with certain employees at a certain store, please tell management so the problem can be corrected. HD hires the best people they can find, hires the handicapped, hires veterans, hires Olympic hopefuls and gives them time off for training so p[lease don't fault them for a specific problem at a specific location.

    • I think you have it wrong james, HD is one of the worst company's to work for, where Im at ,we've had 10 employees quit in 2 weeks due to HD's treatment of employees. HD has taken after the sweat shops. They promise hours but deliver half. Just cut another break. Used to be 2 in a six hour period, now its one. Try seeing it from an employees point of view. Standing,six hours not being able to get off your feet.Try that for yourself and see how your feet and legs go to pot.They're firing alright and forcing great faithful employees out after you've worked there for 6 to 8 years. The stock holders are the problem with wanting the bottom line numbers. If your a true American, Don't invest in HD! This company does not care about its employees. Ask around. Money & Greed.....working 5 to 6 days a week, avaraging 25 hrs at barely over min wage, You do the math!

      • Remember, breaks are not mandatory, they can be taken if there is coverage.

        Lunch and dinner meals are mandatory 30 min or 1 hour, depending on your state labor laws.
        You can adjust this in your preferences on the availability section in My Apron.

        Full timers get priority for the hours, part time can get less or none at all.

        Always been this way, better for us to take less hours instead of having layoffs
        and costing the company more money from high turnover.

        As for those who either quit or were terminated, pretty hard to get fired at HD unless
        you're a thief, not clocking in or out, excessive late or no shows, etc.

        BTW, I am a p/t associate for over 22 years, retired from construction company,
        my daughters run it now.
