    • The window for the announcement is down to 15 days. The 10-Q said NSI-189 Phase 1b data would "be available in the fourth quarter of 2013." I think it would be public relations malpractice to release news the week of Christmas (Mon. 12/23) through New Year's day (Wed. of the following week) because the markets will be quiet and people will not be paying attention. So, counting today: 15 business day window to release news. Also, a release on a Friday would be lame as well. Of course, they first said this information would be available Q3, and then moved the goalposts on that. So, maybe Q1 2014. Also, they remind: it's a safety test with low dosage. No efficacy expected. And they say, "too early in the trial to make a determination as to its level of success, if any."

Also, anyone: ALS NSI-566 Phase II commenced in September 2013 for the first patients. How many months until Ted Harada began to feel results when he was injected? Would the first patients be experiencing any changes 60-90 days in?

      • The November 12th Quarterly Release said that Nsi189 results will be compiled in the coming months. Are you quoting the August release for Q2?

      • Ted Harada received his first round of cells in March 2011 and it has been reported that 2 weeks after surgery he noticed improvements. There was still a delay in the information getting out at that time as he consulted with trial administrators prior to going public. Not sure how long that was.

      • A patient named April has blogged about her recovery from the surgery. (Google April's ALS Express). Click on Details and scroll down to see the full blog posts and comments.

In a response to her most recent post someone submitted:

        "Hi April
Glad to hear your positive progress.
Have you heard John Conley’s story? He also showed great improvement 6 months ago. Fox medical team reported it."

        April replied:

"Yes, I have seen both of these Georgia men. I’ve had positive progress recovering from the procedure and am feeling great about the results even though, at this point, I’m cautious about making definitive claims on my ALS progress. I want to be positive before I give specific statements on any improvements I have as I am only four weeks post surgery. I will keep updating my experience and outcome here on my blog. Ted has been a great ALS advocate since his surgery in the phase 1 trial. John is less known and as you can see, walking proof to have hope about this ongoing clinical study."

I am very hopeful that she is having REAL benefits from the surgery.
