I have heard of Sherritt International described as Cuba play--waiting for Castro to die and for Cuba to open up to US. Is that what makes it most attractive in your opinion? What is symbol by the way?
Lots of Canadian oil and gas trusts are paying 10% - 20%. These trade OTC in the states, usually in the pink sheets. Check the old posts in AAUK.
For non-dividend paying, I really like Sherritt International which trades OTC - the biggest coal producer in Canada, nickel properties (mainly in Cuba) with a refinery in Alberta, oil and gas properties in Cuba (the country's largest producer) and Spain, electricity generation in Cuba (10% of the country's production), resorts in Cuba, a major share in Cuba's cellphone company, and agricultural processing in Cuba. Like South African companies, they make money where most people would never think of going. PE ratio is 5
