It has become an annual tradition (almost as much as my April fools postings) for me to give my annual opening day Wrigley report. Here goes. This year's report will be relatively short.
1. UA symbols in the outfield still bold and beautiful
2. Lots of UA being worn -- shirts, hoodies, turtlenecks, jackets
3. Compared to prior years very little Northface -- this can be attributed in part to the weather
being comparatively benign but it is possible that Northface is losing its cache as well
4. Not much Nike or Adidas seen except on a few Cubs t-shirts... the random non Cub Nike symbols
were on stuff that just looked dated and old.... in contrast to the UA stuff which looked sharp-- of course
I am biased there but still, I do try and remain objective with these observations (which is all they are)
the conclusion.... UA is winning (and has won) the hearts and minds of the Cubs fan.
