On the way to 5? Bagholders!

See you hung in there for your 6% dividend and lost 30%. If you had listened to me back in August you could have saved some coin! Look at the insider transactions, they can't dump isil fast enough. I smell a major blood letting coming.

The only reason there are signs of life here is that ISIL goes X-Div soon, payable on 8-24.This coupled with hope that the stock buy back will convey some confidence and prop up this laggard stock. Even though the dividend is good, the potential pps hit eclipses any div. return. Want a visual on this. Go to yahoo finance, quote on isil, max on the graph back to 2000. Down down down she goes. Here is your forecast. Q2 down 22% YOY, margins down. Guidance, down further. No market visibility. After the x-div chasers record they will head for the exits. After earnings season is over we should see it drift down further with no good news. We will be the bag holders. Strong buy @ 5$ Unless

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

    • Yeah...I've been trying to make that point. My cash isn't earning 5% but I still have my principal.
No upside on ISIL for at least 12 months...which is as far as anyone can see.

      • A recovery in the overall semiconductor market means upside for ISIL. I would hope that would start before next October.

There will be downward trend for semiconductor sector for the rest of 2012, 1st decline since 2009.
The disappointing results in 2nd quarter and weak 3rd quarter expectations driven by poor economic conditions are expected to cause the semiconductor market to retreat this year.
The PCs and related peripherals are the key market segments pulling down the overall semiconductor market in 2012. The growth in the wireless sector would not be enough to propel the overall semiconductor market. The slipping PC market is causing enough drag to outweigh any growth in the wireless market. Unfortunately, ISIL was not the expert in wireless and RF. Meanwhile, also lossing market shares in PC computing. Q3 result estimated drop by 20% y-on-y and 7% Q-on-Q (~151million).
