That's a scary thought. I never understood how Fox went from number-1 to bankruptcy court. Did the FTC oppose that merger too? Well that leads to the next question: If the FTC nixes the merger w/AAS, and AAS goes belly up, would the FTC be able to prevent MCK from acquiring their assets? Would this not be the second best thing to a successful merger? Your thoughts?
Mckesson has always been number one,not only in sheer dollars, but in many ways. Fox acquisition was as number 4 in country. Fox did not pay attention to profitability. Mck assumed a large portion of Fox debt upon merger, however, it happened to be an excellent arrangement. Pres. of Mckesson has committed to Amerisource merger," everything in my power to see it through". My opinion is that FTC will not allow the either Cardinal/Bergen Mckesson/Amerisource mergers to pass simply stated 80% of the drug distribution business is to close owning the market.
