Copper and Gold discussed in Super-Cycle article, still in longer uptrend http://www.madisonaveresearch.com/miningsectorrotation08.htm I am amazed at the cheap price for Hecla ... it has been around for almost 120 years the company ... that is a shizzy long time and has such prime high grade gold in its reserves I have lightened up on physical gold holdings to add HL paper.
HL's long existance is somewhat meaningless, from an investment perspective. It's current management (which should be abruptly fired for allowing HL to reach its current precarious financial situation) has not been around all those years. Likewise, with the recent acquisitions, HL no longer resembles the old Hecla with decades of existance.
This same reasoning applies to any comparisons about today's price compared to HL's historical prices of a few years ago or longer. Any such comparison is invalid.
