That is the corporate plan!!!! 4 Rx's in view off each other? YOU BET close that sucker and move on to lush green pastures!!! Let those other clowns fight over scraps. We have a great CEO.
In case no one remembers Starbux closed over 600 stores , and their pps went from 8 and change to
today's close....67.72 .Yes it has taken awhile , but this company isn't as close to going belly up as some may think.
RAD can't take the heat from even mom n pop stores! College Park Pharmacy , near closed RAD has home care , a grill , gift shop and way better prices and they do it without loyalty cards that costs RAD to operate the database that maintains their loyalty cards! The price of operating a loyalty system is passed on to the consumer ! Did somebody think it is free! LOL!
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Wasn't it cool how last quarter RAD gained in their front end sales while Walgreens lost? (the new trend). I'm sure if RAD left a location it was because Rite Aid doesn't want to be associated with WAG. You know, the narcotic drug thing that WAG got charged by the DEA for, and not to mention the lawsuit against WAG for overcharging on generics. Rite Aid is also opening new stores and I guarentee they are first rate locations.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
What new stores?
The company did not open any new stores in 2011 and 2012. They relocated a few and closed over 40 each year.
I thought the company was only going to open 1 store if any for the year and close another 40 or more.
Is there something you know about the company starting to ramp up new store openings that has not been made public?
