Rmoney Supporter Kid Rock "embarrassed to be Republican"
Detroit icon Kid Rock, who campaigned for Mitt Romney for president in 2012, is parting ways with the Republican Party, which has supported legislation to raise concert ticket prices.
Rock, who recently announced $20 tickets for his four upcoming DTE Energy Theatre shows, tells Rolling Stone magazine that he's "embarrassed to be a Republican."
"It's #$%$ Republican lawmakers passing those laws, you dumba--es. They already did it in New York and they're trying to do it in Michigan. I've even called some of those guys to try and stop it," the article says.
According to Rolling Stone, Rock said: "They're taking a #$%$ $5 service charge," he says, also noting he's more of a Libertarian than a Republican these days. "It's 25 percent of the #$%$ ticket! That's f---ed up, but I've beaten them up as much as I can."
They should quadruple ticket prices and then he should donate it all to his hometown Detroit like they do for all the other disasters. This is a man made disaster in need of serious donations. Let the rich, cool, concert lovers pay for Detroit. Let Obama and his people pay for it. Let them spread their own wealth around. Give Detroit a fair chance, a level playing field, hope for the future. Public Broadcasting can film it and make a special out of it. They can title it "Saving Detroit".
