    • Gross profit margin-30% according to WSJ
A recent change of operating top leadership has landed the company’s co-founder and chief science officer in the CEO spot. Since this was just about a month ago, specifics are yet to be known. I’m new to it, too. I took a crash course in it over the holiday. Its legacy business (i.e. providing bulk quantities of ingredients to the health supplement industry) gives it an insider’s view of what might be the next great thing. At this point the big thing is Pterostilbene (tero-still-bean) and the company’s patented formulation of/with it-pTeropure. This from the co. press release 6/13: Pterostilbene has superior biological activity, better oral bioavailability and metabolizes more slowly in the body than other antioxidant polyphenols (substances from plants that tend to prevent or neutralize the damaging effects of free radicals), resulting in more prolonged antioxidant activity. Along with a number of other effects, pterostilbene has shown great promise for supporting heart health, cognitive function and anti-aging. unquote

As more and more people realize the efficacy and benefit of its BluScience line, which is relatively new, sales should ramp. In the meantime, its legacy business continues. In the pipeline a product found naturally in milk-nicotinomide riboside(NR) is about to make it on the scene, according to Patrick Cox in a Breakthrough Technology Alert the other day. Vitamin NR, I understand is supposed to benefit the cell respiratory mechanism.
