I thought they had a nice solid quarter. Decent CC. Liked the statement at the very end that rimm is sampling their products again. Stock no doubt going to tank tomorrow, but if they continue to innovate and execute toward break-even by end of year, sp will easily be a double from here. Every company/stock has a story, and I still like the anadigics' story very much. ANAD is the only stock I own and did not hear or learn anything to make me wanna jump ship. But some who bought at a premium today to make a quick speculative buck are going to be tripping over themselves tomorrow to get out. And the sooner they are out of the way the better! I will be happy with a close of anything above 2.50 tomorrow. A close above 2.70 tomorrow would be very bullish imo.
actually I'm disappointed with the just in line numbers the company put up. To make things worse on the call management was talking about a seasonal decline in the double digits (current estimate is for just 7%).
Given the tremendous run in the stock over the last few months I would bet on some selling pressure tomorrow morning. Very likely there might be a downgrade, too as the stock has already eclipsed some analysts' price targets. Stock will most likely be dead money for three months after tomorrow's sell-off.
I wouldn't count on a downgrade. There weren't a lot of analysts on the call, but those that were there seemed pretty knowledgeable and satisfied.
Yahoo's 28.49M for next quarter (and hence, about a 5.12% decline from Q4) is bogus. As they explained on the call, their Chinese customers are much more seasonally adjusted than others, so you'll see something in the low double digits...I figure 12 or 13% decline.
What is most important is the growth in WiFi and the projected break even in Q4. I know, a bird in the hand, etc., but I think they're still on track until I see evidence otherwise.
Would I like to have seen more? Sure, but they have ample opportuntity to excel with what's coming. I'll hold my 155K shares and will look to add just a bit if folks lose their minds.
Right now, I'm much more concerned about the macro effect of sequestration than any performace factors from ANAD. They look to be firing on all cylinders.
It was about what I expected. They have turned the corner and have proven an increasing market for their products. They just realeased a new amp it will start having an impact on sales in the next report.
