That's code for "buy". I'm in for 1K shares at $53.65, short 10 contracts of the 52 1/2 Dec puts @ $0.35. The shares I'll be out of today if I can scalp a buck and I'll hold the puts believing 52 1/2 will hold. if not, I'll take the shares at that price. DLTR still has a great future.
While Dollar Tree (DLTR) fell 4.5% Thursday after its F3Q miss-and-warn, not only is Barclays upgrading the deep discounter to overweight it hikes its price target to $65 from $52. The investment bank sees DLTR "being essentially insulated from the highly competitive environment that has already become visible...In fact, if generous promotions by other chains drive traffic into shopping centers, DLTR is likely to benefit." But Barclays also likes the longer term, including management's execution record and likelihood of continued "substantial free cash flow that can be used to buy back stock." Shares rise 1.2% to $56.97
