Escondida mine has been injunctioned v. BHP

You seem to have inside, non-public information. What is the alleged offense? Where can we read about it? I found nothing in the Chilean press.

By the way, BHP owns only 57.5% of Escondida. Other owners are Rio Tinto, JECO and IFC. They have operated there for decades (discovery 1981, began mining 1988) with Government approval. Odd that this problem, if it is a problem, not heard of before.

    • problem is that titles do belong to a party sued by BHP et al, to take away legit rights.

It all came to a head on and winners are from chile.

There is a 5-0 decision against BHP et al from SUPREME COURT of Chile years ago and now the granting of a judicial preventive embargo, they can no longer sell the asset...

Next? rest administration perhaps unless paid accrued loss of income.
