    • Here is an old tale which teaches when to sell.

During the Depression, a widow lived on a poor farm with several young children. The oldest was in his early teens. He was tired of eating rabbit he shot, so for Thanksgiving, he decided to trap a wild turkey. He set up a box with a stick, and a string to pull when a turkey walked in. He ran a bunch of corn around the area.

Hiding not far away, he waited. Along came 7 turkeys, and one walked in, with another one close behind. So, he waited, and the second walked in, with a third one not far behind. He waited, and they kept walking in, one at a time, until 6 of the 7 were there.

He waited for the 7th, but #6 walked out. He decided he couldn't settle for only 5, so he waited for #6 to return, but #5 walked out.

Again, he waited for #5 to return, but #4 walked out.

To shorten this story, the family ate rabbit for Thanksgiving.

That is what a lot of investors, I mean speculators, do.
