Aok- You sound like a Fresno old timer probably knew William Saroyan...I read "My Vines Have Tender Grapes" & Human Comedy but thought Saroyan was a bit dull....sort of like my thoughts about Fresno.Guess I got spoiled from starting in San Francisco in the 50s what a wonderful town! Got use to a few years in San Diego but never liked LA.Now Santa Barbara looks good to me.....even lived in Hawaii in the 1960s and loved the Islands but things have changed.I sure never found anyplace I liked in Midwest except Lake Forest.Looks like market is stuck in trading range but I have hopes for an ABT move up before Nov.
In the Fall we would go dove hunting. My mother's prestigous cousin would come with his wife. (She still has a home at Cypress Point.) We could smell muscat fermenting from factories nearby. Fall was close. The doves would come over the peach orchard in the early light.
The last time I saw him, he drove a 1960 convertible, T-Bird, grey. All the kids saw it coming.
So much is rememberance, the vivid recall that wants to be shared. It is all in the details.
