each day ABBV jumps all over the place - a day trader's delight.
ABBV doesn't have their own message board - is it because stock is too new?
Only positive to hold is the healthy dividend.
With only 2 blockbuster drugs high risk/high reward.
ABBV has only one drug that qualifies as a "blockbuster," HUMIRA, which accounts for about 45% of its total sales. The stock has been more variable than ABT, but it's hardly a high volatility holding. Since the day it hit the market, it has traded within a +/- range of about 2%, usually much less than that. As for it not having a message board, I would reverse the question and ask why any stock has a message board. They serve primarily as a place to post unrelated advertisements, misinformation, and questions by people too lazy to do their own search. ABBV is high risk and low-moderate reward - in my unqualified opinion.
As someone who did quite well holding ABT pre spinoff I listened to the experts and sold my ABBV and purchased additional shares of ABT. I currently own 10,000 shares of ABT and 100 in the money calls. Even though I have a small profit I'm kind of disappointed as to how ABT has lagged the market. I guess we have to hope for good earnings inorder for this stock to outperform.
