My account, that is. Nightmare scenario unfolded. Huge margin calls due to my prior large sale of puts that I had to buy to close for a huge amount and had to sell ALL of my ZLCS shares at a 70% loss to cover those options. Total wipeout (above 300K). Totally ruined. Have 1000 bucks left in the account. it has not been fun today. I will never speculate heavily on one biotech ever again.
Hang in there buddy! Dont give up hope. You never know what can happen in a few years. Just remember everything you have and be grateful. I will say a prayer for you and your family tonight. God Bless.
The SAME LIES he is telling on the SRPT board....Daviscupper you a LEWZUR.......what happened to you....how come you have to rub salt in the wound of REAL investors, your a real JERK.........
Sorry cupper. I never put more than 6% of my account in any one stock. I learned that the hard way 25 years ago and never forgot it. Start over and never forget the lesson you learned.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
I have been exactly where you are with a different pharmaceutical stock over a year ago. I lost everything before I even woke up in the morning. It will go down in history as the worst day of my life. I was in shock -- the feeling of which I hope I'll never experience again in my life. I lost more than everything, actually. I owed $1,300 to my account. It was my kids' college account money, and I have never told them. Thankfully, no husband to have to tell. I feel your pain. It is not the end of the world. This happens to traders all the time, but I guarantee you one thing -- you won't trade for a while, and once you do, you will NEVER hold anything overnight again. You'll be a bottom fisher just like me. You'll sit and wait for these situations, but you'll feel for those people who were affected. All I can say is tell your wife and get it over with. Rip off the bandaid. What happened happened. The longer you wait, the worse it will be. You know how she will react, and you have nothing to fight about. Just take the punishment. It is not worse than how you are punishing yourself. You will live to see a happy day.
I also had 70% of my savings wiped out which wasn't much, only 333 shares but for a 65 year old couple, it meant going on a trip we had planned. Anyway, if I had to do it over again I would try and have shares in about 4 of these speculative biotechs instead of just one. One good hit can make up for the other failures. I helped my son make $1,300.00 on OXBT but lost a few hundred on ZYTX. Now he has ZYTX and NURO; NURO doing well, ZYTX doing poorly. I was going to recommend to him to also buy ZLCS the day before it went bust but I didn't get around to it, thank goodness.
