I don't live in Dayton -- I live in Warren County. One of the fastest growing counties in the state and nation. Average home price now exceeds $180K. This is an area that Key missed -- both Butler and Warren counties plus Delaware county north of Columbus.
Part of Key's problem is regressive Cleveland mentality. Cleveland made a few improvements over the years and kept slapping it's own back in congratulations. Other cities improved more quickly and had a better starting point.
The economy is good here and Keybank's percentage of deposits continue to shrink -- the same story is told in most parts of the country.
Yes indeed -- I live in one of the best areas of the nation. Cincinnati is 30 minutes away -- Columbus 50 minutes away. Not to mention Indianapolis, Lexington, and Louisville. A huge market in which Key is not a factor.
