    "Concerned Troll"

I already educated the board here on what a "sockpuppet" is, but now it's time to tell you about the "concerned troll".

In an argument (usually a political or financial debate), a concern troll is someone who is on one side of the discussion, but pretends to be a supporter of the other side with "concerns". The idea behind this on financial discussion boards is that those long the stock will take the arguments of the concerned troll (disguised short) more seriously if they think you're an ally.

Concern trolls who use fake identities are sometimes known as sockpuppets (see below).

A concern troll is a false flag pseudonym created by a user whose actual point of view is opposed to the one that the user claims to hold. The concern troll posts in Web forums devoted to its declared point of view and attempts to sway the group's actions or opinions while claiming to share their goals, but with professed "concerns". The goal is to sow fear, uncertainty and doubt within the group

Jim6b: " I am long . . . at the moment, but have warning pumpers to run before the next conference call."

In the 2006 election, an aide to Congressman Charlie Bass (R-NH) was caught concern trolling the opposition on local blogs. While pretending to support Bass's opponent, Paul Hodes, the aide argued that Hodes couldn't win because Bass was an unbeatable candidate. Hodes won the election.

Big Hedge Funds Short SZYM have their paid sockpuppets working overtime on the Solazyme message board tonight. What are they worried about? What "insider info" do the Short Hedge Funds have that makes them so anxious to send their tools to work overtime. They are even creating fake conversations among themselves via different aliases.

Makes one thing what news will be released tomorrow by Wofson. hmmmmm

Sockpuppet: A sockpuppet is an online identity used for purposes of deception. The term—a reference to the manipulation of a simple hand puppet made from a sock—originally referred to a false identity assumed by a member of an internet community who spoke to, or about himself while pretending to be another person. The term now includes other uses of misleading online identities, such as those created to praise, defend or support a third party or organization, or to circumvent a suspension or ban from a website. A significant difference between the use of a pseudonym and the creation of a sockpuppet is that the sockpuppet poses as an independent third-party unaffiliated with the puppeteer. Many online communities have a policy of blocking sockpuppets.

In this case, I'm referring to the Hedge Fund sockpuppets that spew diarrhea on this board.

What do Jim6b and retiredscienceteacher have in common?
Beyond the fact that have both become "concerned trolls", there's something else of interest.

      Yes. Sockpuppets.

[ By the way, take a look at the original post in this thread.]

    • This seems kind of obvious, but why can't we coin the phrase "Stockpuppet" right here and now?

      retiredscienceteacher claims-
      He does not short
He has not sold any shares...and he has more shares...he would guess... than anyone else who posts on this board.

He claims to be a big shareholder but then who goes ahead bashing the stock and fabricating lies? Strange indeed.
      - Fomented about plant delays (i.e. Clinton), where there is no delay.
      - Has continually provided ill advice to SZYM Yahoo MB members to sell at low prices (in the $7.xx range), which was then followed by SP moves into tthe $8.xx and $9.xx ranges.
      - Lied and about the 2012 Shareholders Meeting (members found the information online regarding the meeting announcement and some even attended)
      - Fabricated lies about the Quarterly Presentations being removed from the Solazyme website (members here were easily able to find the ppts)
      - Spread misinformation regarding communication and contact with Solazyme Investor Relations (members here were able to reach them and have questions responded to)
      - Continually attacks Solazyme claims as being false, including the margins and the Clinton 500,000 l scale-up
      - Claimed Solazyme Management are "Cowards and Teat-sucker" and saying that they will "suck at the SZYM shareholder teat until we say enough is enough." Saying this when Wolfson and Dillon own 5.5 MILLION shares! They have more skin in the game than anyone. Solazyme is on track to be the first successfully large-scale aglae-to-oil producer in the world this year. If milestones are hit the SP would easily track north of $20 and on its way to $58 (my call in 2014), and Wolfson and Dillon will have the Golden Goose.

      Strange indeed.

      • If what you're saying is true about "sock puppet" do they really thing spreading fear on the message board is gonna keep the stock down? Most people on these boards are retail holders with very small positions compared to who really moves the stock one way or the other. I myself a regular on here only own a total of 8k shrs and i play around with some option, but thats peanuts compared to who really moves the stock.

What do these puppets really stand to achieve on here? lol

Retiredscienceteacher is now short and sitting on a pile of puts.
He's playing the role of the concerned long (haha).

      Don't believe his delay concerns.
Solazyme still on track to bank $100M* in revenues in 2013.
Peroria (incl. Algenist): $25M [Already running at full capacity]
SRN: $10M [Ops beginning in the middle to Q3 of this year]
Moema: $65M [Ops beginning Q3 of this year]

      SZYM at Decemeber 2012: $30+

      * All revenue figures are based on ASP/Margins stated on CC and in accordance with capacities attributed to Solazyme after JV splits for both SRN & Moema.

FYI: An early start at Clinton would only be bonus.

WARNING: Read Jim6b posts with a grain of sugar. (A grain that Solazyme will process into a gallon of oil).

Because Jim is not bipoolar. I repeat, he is not bipolar.
      He is a Concerned Troll.

Today he said: If it bothers you, put me on a ignore. Turnaround is fair play.
There is no turnaround, he plays both sides of the arguments to get in your head and make you think he is long, is long. He wants you to believe he is long so you think he has a a concern as a long, then he foments.

He foments Solazyme. He foments trouble, He foments discontent.
Jim is not long. He his short. Always has been. He is a concerned troll meaning he is short but pretends to be long expressing "concerns". The idea behind this is that those long Solazyme will take the arguments of this concerned troll (disguised short) more seriously if they think you're an ally.

Today he said: To my shame I am one of those who paid $16 that day. I thought the Bunge deal was proof of SZYM's tech and share would go higher. Fortunately, I have learned not be get stuck on stupid and listen to the market.

Jim never paid $16 for Solazyme because Jim never bought this stock, because Jim is short and has always been short. Read the history of his posts. Full of lies, and nothing long about this guy but his nose.

Read the posts of Martin1056 and you will know the real Jim6b (Martin is Jim, Jim is Martin = both are short).

So why do you folks on this board (I won't name you but you know who you are) continue to address his false concerns? You really should ignore this deceitful being.

    • greenguru58 Jan 23, 2013 11:10 AM Flag

Jim (and Martin - same person), working overtime today on the SZYM board.
How one of these sockpuppets pretends to be different is that Jim has turned into the "Concerned Troll". Read this entire thread for details.

Jim who may or may not be long SZYM today (haha) has his panties in a tassle over LS9 and their failed business plan and he's trying to contaminate SZYM with it. Oh, sorry - it's just a concern he's sharing with the longs because he's actually long (haha)..

This guy (along with his other aliases) kills me. He's trying hard this week though. Can you guess why? hmmmm .

Why don't you bring that that double_dump alias. At least he was interesting to read.

    • Green don't you think it's underestimating even a sockpuppet's ability to see how incredibly well things are setting up for szym's future! The trolls you mentioned, probably don't have enough cash to fill a sock if they actually believe their own stupid arguments!

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • first of all "green", i respect and enjoy ur wisdom

second, u may b correct and i cannot decipher if jim has truly gone long as stated and is trying to slow the rotation into szym while others "catch up" in terms of reallocation of resources (buy low and get the run), or if he is truly BS"ing" and is still short - i dont really care, however i think u r on to something and u never really know - thats why it is best not to invest based on feedback from these boards...
