especially with all the recent volitility and now for over 2.5 hrs virtually stuck in a one cent range?
How about a couple of friendly firms systematically accumulating and/or covering short positions?
I read about this a few months ago but didn't grasp how it works in practice. I still don't fully understand it. So the stock won't go down because all the short sales are repriced a penny (one increment) above the bid? If I read this right, it also extends to tomorrows trading?
Here is what I think is happening. When the "panic" set in and all the weak players cashed in, the brokers out there did the buying. Now, they have contracted with some large buyers to sell at a tidy profit.
When the brokers have sold all the shares, the natural market forces will take over - which at this point means they will rise.
